Why blend in when you can stand out?
Many medical residency videos look amazing. They’re well lit. The people interviewed are all dressed up and delivering the talking points about “quality.” They even have some really cool drone shots of impressive buildings. But … they often lack the one thing that will help them attract the right candidates — any true sense of the personality of the people or program. Put more simply, the vibe. So they fail to answer the biggest question on every candidate’s mind, “Will I fit in here?”
don't hire me ... unless
If you want a typical residency video, where all the administrators and residents are neatly dressed and delivering talking points about “exceptional” this and “quality” that, I’m not your guy. I make the OPPOSITE of those videos. I create resident-led videos that deliver all the main selling points but in a fun, memorable way to increase interest in your program.
It’s part of a tried and true marketing strategy that I learned in 20 plus years as a copywriter.
I started applying these skills toward video production in the early 2010’s.
Now I’m using those powers for good (mostly) by helping medical residency programs attract the ideal candidates with truly unique, attention-grabbing promotional videos unlike any you’ve seen. But, please, watch a video or two and see for yourself.

Best. Match. Ever.
The shocking video that started it all!
trust the process
1. PRE-PRODUCTION
This is the meeting stage where I learn everything I can about the program, especially from the residents, since they are the target audience. These can be done over the phone, through Zoom or in person. Using what I learn, I’ll develop a theme for the video and then present it to the group for feedback/approval.
2. SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT
Once the direction is finalized, I’ll then write a script that incorporates all the great things that residents told me about the program. We’ll then meet again to review the script, make changes, and ultimately, finalize it.
3. CASTING AND LOCATION SCOUTING
This is where your time commitment amps up. You’ll first need to choose which residents and faculty you want “starring” in the production. The more enthusiastic the person, the better. Then you’ll need to assign a point person to work with me to choose film locations for each scene AND to coordinate schedules of all those involved. The ideal person for this role will be very organized.
4. FILMING AND EDITING
The fun truly begins when we start filming. Shooting times vary depending on the complexity and location of each scene. “Actors” need to know their lines and be ready to have fun. It’s that simple.
5. ENJOY, CELEBRATE & SHARE
Host a viewing party and hand out awards. Have fun with it! Then share the link through your social media accounts, on your website, and with every potential candidate. They’ll get a much better idea of what your program is like. And you’ll get more candidates applying who are better suited for your program.
